Welcome

When called upon, Chaplains assist officers or Fire Dept on the street with death notifications, suicidal persons, domestic violence or any call where they think the Chaplains may be of use. The Chaplains are on call 24 hours a day.

Officers also refer citizens in conflict or in need to the Chaplains for aid when appropriate. The Chaplains offer comfort and counseling assistance to victims and their families whenever possible.

Our chaplains are considered inter-denominational/interfaith helpers and are not to use their credentials for the purpose of proselytizing unless invited to do so by the person to whom they're ministering to.

Statement of Faith

We believe that God is love and power and truth and light; that perfect justice rules the world; that all his children shall one day reach his feet, however far they stray. We hold the fatherhood of God, the brotherhood of man; we know that we do serve him best when best we serve our fellow man. So shall his blessing rest on us + and peace for evermore. Amen.

Chaplains are emergency missionaries and communty friends. They serve their communities in different ways but always the work is a ministry of simple presence, they assist mostly in crisis situations and at times under dangerous conditions on a daily basis.

Chaplains can never ask for donations, accept money or gifts for ministerial duties. Our Catholic clergy cannot of course accept money for sacraments. We do hope to have chaplains sponsored for their time in F/T community service soon with your help.

Donations to the Order of St.Thomas & EIM

(USA Chaplains Mission fund), will be used to sponsor chaplains and offset expenses, uniforms, communication and transport, as well as supplies sometimes needed for people on the street or in emergencies and eventually provide staff housing and offices and emergency shelter.
